Young Wong has been in the architectural business since the age of 17, when he started as an intern while attending high school. In 1982 he attended Ecoles des Beaux Arts in Chateau d’ Fontainebleau, France. In 1984 he graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Architecture. Young worked diligently, from running blueprints to finally becoming Senior Vice President of a national firm where he worked for 22 years, before retiring in August 2020. Young served as the prototype architect for Cost Plus World Market for 15 years, and the expansion of Decathlon in the United States. He was on the development advisory board for Ann Taylor (New York) and on the board for ACC Senior Services (Sacramento). He was head architect for various nationwide retailers and nationwide developers. During his retirement, he provided consultation for North East Medical Services. Young was also responsible in bringing in these clients and negotiating fees.
